FAQ

What clients and sectors does Clearspeed support?

How does Clearspeed use AI?
We utilize modern AI models for scoring responses from participants. Our models utilize current-generation speech-based neural network technology to evaluate responses. Over many years, we’ve constructed a highly precise risk model that previously required human domain expertise to utilize. Our risk model has been validated through extensive usage and feedback by government and commercial organizations worldwide. Our custom AI solution enhances and scales the application of our high-precision model, delivering consistent, validated risk assessments for customers at any scale.
Can Clearspeed detect recorded, artificial, synthetic and other types of counterfeit or suspicious voice responses?
Clearspeed is dedicated to innovation and security. We have processes to identify non-human or suspicious voice responses, including synthetic and counterfeit responses. To date, we’ve consistently succeeded, even against attempts to defeat our system by sophisticated criminal organizations and other highly-skilled entities. As this field evolves, Clearspeed remains committed to advancing our capabilities.
Does Clearspeed recommend action or make decisions on our behalf?
Clearspeed is not a determinant, nor does it automatically render a decision. Our data insights simply inform the decision process, allowing clients to clear low risk more quickly, and focus their resources where potential risk is flagged.
How does Clearspeed address potential bias?
Our evaluation is objective and unbiased since we use automated questionnaires and map vocal characteristics associated with risk that are universal to everyone, regardless of language, gender, race, location, credit score, age, or other personal identifiers. We do not use historical data, nor do we use personal identifiers as part of our evaluation.
How does Clearspeed differentiate from competitors?
While there are other solutions like voice stress analysis, voice printing, or even polygraphs, Clearspeed is unique in its ability to detect, quantify, and evaluate characteristics in the voice that are directly correlated with risk. Each of these solutions plays its own role in the risk assessment chain. They can stack before, or after Clearspeed.
How does Clearspeed differ from a polygraph?
Unlike polygraphs, Clearspeed does not measure truthfulness or detect deception.  Rather, our approach is objective and unbiased, assessing for indications of potential risk and to what degree without invasive physical hooks-ups or human intervention or analysis. We help you determine who should proceed to the next stage of your process, and who should be paused for further scrutiny.
How do we integrate Clearspeed?
Any system with open API capabilities can connect with Clearspeed. Our team will review your systems and workflows with you to determine the optimal approach. On-premises builds are possible; subject to custom pricing and fees.
Does Clearspeed require data for its technology to work properly?
No, and that’s exactly what sets us apart from other risk solutions. We’re a primary measure, not a model, so we don’t require personally identifiable information (PII), historical data, generalized data points, or baselines. Instead we only screen and analyze the real-time response of an individual to a few simple yes/no questions.
Is Clearspeed GDPR-compliant?
Yes, Clearspeed is GDPR-compliant and operating across six continents.
